How do I use the equalizer to improve audio quality?

Short answer

In Note Settings, scroll down to EQ, switch it on and adjust the low, mid and high bands. EQ only applies during playback, so your original recording never changes. On iOS it is available up to iOS 18; iOS 26 and later no longer need it. It is still available on macOS.
