Equaliser (or EQ) can be found in most audio players. It’s commonly used to adjust the volume of the individual frequencies within an audio source.

In Noted, EQ can be used to dial down background noise and improve clarity. For example, if you regularly record and review hours-long audio notes, you can improve your playback experience and prevent a certain frequency from grating on your ears by fine-tuning the audio to suit your preference using the EQ.

Our built-in EQ allows you to set the balance between the low, mid, and high frequencies – here’s how to do it:

  • iOS
  • macOS

1. Tap the ⋯ icon at the top right corner of your screen.
2. Open the Note Settings (the first option of the three at the bottom).
3. Scroll down to EQ, where you can toggle it on/off and adjust the three bands.

Settings > General > EQ, where you can enable/disable it and adjust the three bands.

As a third year university student I absolutely love this app! Allows me to record my lectures, take notes and pictures at the same time and it's so easy to go back to my notes and see what exactly has been said at that exact moment.
