How do I use #TimeTag in Noted?

#TimeTags are keywords, topics or section titles that you add to a note while recording. Each one remembers the moment it was added, so tapping it takes you straight to that point in the audio instead of listening through the whole recording.

Add a #TimeTag

• iPhone and iPad: tap the # button at the bottom left of the note, then type the tag name. Tags you’ve used before are suggested next to it.
• Keyboard: type # followed by the tag name.

Note: If you’re typing using Braille Screen Input, you need to enter a space or use the translate Braille command directly after inputting the hashtag and before writing the name of the tag in order for the tag to register.

Jump to a #TimeTag

Tap a tag in your note to play the recording from that moment. To see all the tags in a note, tap ⋯ → Time Tags, then tap one to jump to it.

Rename a #TimeTag

Edit the text of the tag like any other text. It keeps the moment it was tagged.

Adjust the time offset

A key point can pass before you get the chance to tap #. Time tag offset sets each new tag a few seconds earlier than the moment you add it, so you don’t miss the start. Choose 0s, -1s, -3s, -5s or -10s.

• iPhone and iPad: Settings → Record & Playback → Time tag offset
• Mac: Settings → Record → Time tag offset

Find notes by #TimeTag

• iPhone and iPad: open the Tags tab to see all your #TimeTags, then tap one to list the notes that use it. You can also find tags in the Search tab.
• Mac: switch from the Notebooks tab to the Tags tab, or use the search box in the toolbar.
